The second hardest date of the set. I just got this in the Superior November 2003 auction- lot #1291 Here's the auction description as I could not describe it better- "Attractive original color; resplendent luster that swirls and gleams throughout both sides. As far as the devices go, they are very pristine for this level in addition to being very well struck. A glass reveals all, and what it reveals is a stunningly original 1905-S. Very scarce in this grade. Much more so than the 1901-03 issues struck at the San Francisco mint."
