I bought this coin at the Long Beach show in 2010 from Mr Cline. Even though I paid a premium to "buy from the master" and based on the "slab grade" this coin is not a standout in the set, it was worth the experience. He was willing to talk with me when, at the time, I had not yet read his book. As you can see from the reverse photo he was also willing to autograph the slab. Looking closely this coin is actually remarkably good for the grade. The head is a great full head, every rivet is clear and the eagles breast shows nice feather detail. This is the reason Jay could charge and get retail + 20 to 50 percent. If he hand picked the coin, the technical grade might be a 62 but the overall eye appeal would rival a 64~65. He is missed,as a true gentleman (person) of the trade.
