Owner Comments:

State Quarter Series - Connecticut, my home state. Featuring the famous Charter Oak, which has since fallen, though pieces of it have been saved for posterity. When the King's men were coming to revoke the colonial Charter, the colonists HID the charter in a tree, so the king's messengers couldn't find it, and as long as the colonists still possessed the charter from the King, Connecticut could remain a crown colony. Thus, the Charter Oak was made famous! The Charter Oak itself was featured on another U.S. Commemorative coin, so it's nice to see it not only on a U.S. State Quarter, but as a privy mark on this Aussue Kookaburra in lustrous .999 fine silver, 1 oz. Graded MS69 by NGC. The closeup of the side of the coin with H.M Queen Elizabeth is actually much cleaner than it appears in the photo, which almost makes the Queen look like she has acne or something. This is actually a VERY CLEAN and BRIGHT, trouble-free coin!
