The 1903 through 1906 Fifty Centavos coin was struck in .900 Silver, and had a silver weight of 13.48 Grams. The high silver content of this coin caused many to be melted when the value of the silver exceeded its face value. It is estimated that less than 20% of all 1903 - 1906 silver coinages exist today in any grade and near GEM and GEM examples are very rare.

The NGC population of the 1903 Fifty Centavos in MS-64 is 19 coins with only 1 specimen graded higher. The combined population for this coin is 38/3.

This beautiful example of the 1903 through 1906 Fifty Centavos is a well struck, fully brilliant, untoned, near GEM.
