Owner Comments:

This 1810 R2 Classic Head Half Cent has nice even color and graded AU-53 by NGC. These are extremely hard to find above VF grades. NGC has graded only 62 (60-brown & 2-red-brown). This is the C-1 die variety and the only die variety for the 1810 Classic Head Half Cent. The striking on the obverse is weak on the right side. This results in the six stars being flat. This strike is very common to most all 1810's. There is an obverse die crack from the front of Liberty's hair, over the ribbon, to stars 5,6 and 7 on the left. Only 215,000 of these were minted.
