difficult to acquire, Based on the original 1913 Buffalo nickel, Type 1, as designed by James Earle Fraser. The buffalo gold coins are made of .9999 fine--pure 24kt.-gold and were released on July 22, 2008. This fractional Buffalo Gold coin in 1/2 oz. coin bears the W mintmark for the West Point Mint.
