Coin Description:
An irresistible coin with great surfaces, shimmering luster, strong strike, and remarkable eye appeal. Both sides exhibit champagne centers surrounded by glowing powder blue and lilac, yielding to delicate rainbow rim toning of lime green, magenta, and tangerine. Of all the nickels graded MS67 by NGC, only a handful or so have received the star designation. With such a scant population, I will state confidently that this coin is certainly one of the most eye appealing 1945-P Jefferson Nickels in existence.

Comments:
I purchased this coin along with a beautiful 1944-S NGC MS67* from an E-Bay seller in July 2008. Both coins had the same submission number and almost identical toning patterns and color schemes. While the steps on this coin are mushy, the eye appeal is nothing short of stunning. In my experience, MS67 1945-P with fantastic eye appeal bring huge premiums at auction. This coin is no exception as the winning bid was 2.5X Numismedia Wholesale.
