Owner Comments:

In 2006, the obverse of the Jefferson Nickel was redesigned by Jamie Franki and sculpted by Donna Weaver. A full face portrait of Jefferson replaced the profile design which had been used since 1938. The reverse returned to the old Monticello design.

This coin is only one of two pieces in my collection that has received the coveted β€œ70” grade. I spotted this piece at a local show. Since the price was not that high, I decided to spring for β€œthe ultimate coin grade.”
