The 1843-O Small Letters is 8th of 16 in rarity of the New Orleans Half Eagles and is more rare that the Large Letters variety.
This coin, an MS64, is the second or third finest known (PCGS 1/1 NGC 1/1) of the issue, and is from the Ambleside collection (probably one of the nicest of this collection).
The coin is spectacle in appearance, with a frosty, bright luster and now significant abrasions.
