2009, The Year of the Ox. Much like the 2008 coin, the Perth Mint has released this lunar series coin early, in 2007. Hence this coin bears the date 2007 on the obverse and 2009 on the reverse. The coin's reverse features an Ox and the Chinese character for 'ox'. The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This one once 99.9% pure silver coin is issued as a $1 legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965. Another perfect example graded NGC MS70.
