NGC US Coin Census for Roosevelt Dimes (1946-Date)

Owner Comments:

As of 2004, the Roosevelt Dime is became the oldest circulating coin without ever has a facelift. First minted in 1946 soon after the death of President Franklin Roosevelt, the composite was changed from silver to nowadays 8.33% nickel and 91.67% of copper. The observe features the left-facing profile of the late President Roosevelt. The reverse is crowed with a torch, a olive branch, and an oak branch to represent liberty, peace, strenght and independence. The dime is also the smallest circulating coin with a diameter of 0.705 inches. This 2005-S Silver Proof Dime was purchased in Nov 2007 graded by NGC as PF70 UC. I would say I obtained this coin with a pretty good price and it is a nice addition to my 21st Century Proof Type Set.
