Owner Comments:

This issue had the highest mintage of any proof Morgan dollar date, at 1,355 pieces. Survivors are relatively numerous, but they become scarce with noteworthy cameo contrast; especially at or above the PR67 Cameo grade level. This is a visually stunning specimen that is fully struck and essentially free of toning. The fields exhibit glassy reflectivity, and the devices are beautifully and softly frosted. An interesting pattern of circular die polish lines (as made), which have been observed on other examples from this year, reside above the eagle's arrowheads, and between the eagle's neck and upper left (facing) wing.
