Bought this piece from a dealer out of Canada. His emails confirmed my thinking. This coin came out of a nice collection of "foreign" coins. It was the only U.S. coin in the whole collection---and had just been freshly holdered. It had virtually mark free fields and the cartwheel luster abounds. Its "originality" speaks for itself.
