I acquired this coin on 10/14/2007. It is a well struck, brilliant and lustrous coin. Untill 1962 the mint state 1903-O Morgan Dollar was considered the great rarity . However, in November of 1962 the Philadelphia Mint released hundreds of thousands of them from their vault sealed since 1929.
The circulation mintage was 4,450,000 coins.

NGC graded population is 1 of 280 with 39 graded higher as of 4/2008.
