I acquired this coin on 9/19/2007.
It is a nice GSA example of the date and mint. There were 2,309.041 coins struck that year in Carson City, which makes it the largest mintage of any Carson City Morgan dollar - yet only 3,949 were offered in the GSA sales. The reason is probably due to melting under the Pitman Act in 1918, along with some being placed into circulation.
The NGC graded population is 1 of 82 with only 8 graded higher as of 4/2008.
There were only 283 coins graded with the GSA pedigree by NGC.
