Variety: N-38, die state d (Newcomb's old #16)

This coin is mostly well struck, has wonderful luster, and a nice amount of original color, especially on the reverse, though not enough for RB.

I bought this coin from Evan Gale (Aspen Park Rare Coins) in May 2007 (at a Baltimore show, I believe). It is an upgrade to a really cool MS64BN early die state N-24 coin with die polish lines covering much of the obverse.
