Wonderful definition on every aspect of the coin. The detail on the reverse is special; the fullness of the bison's head and horn are exquisite. The color inside the rims is a nice touch that contributes to the eye appeal. What keeps this coin from 65? The luster is a bit less than explosive, perhaps, and there is a series of almost indistinguishable surface markings on the reverse. Just an extremely nice near-gem I'd be loathe to part with.
