This is one of the very rare dates that are just impossible to find in GSA holders. I acquired this coin ungraded. Where did I get it? That’s a story for another day. Let’s just say I was thrilled to get it.
As of 4/07, there were just 3 graded GSA coins for this date, with one lower at ms60, and one graded higher at ms63. The ms60 coin is in the #1 registry set, and the ms63 coin is not represented in the registry.
This coin is bright white and attractive for the grade, but with some bag marks on the obverse background fields and on the cheek of Lady Liberty. As such, I think the grade was appropriate for the coin.
