I acquired this coin on 2/28/2007.
Population 1 of 2422 as of 3/2007.

The quarter features 2 bisons and badlands.
Western North Dakota is home to the northern part of the Badlands.
It is the northernmost of the Great Plains states and is the northern half of The Dakotas. During the 19th century, North Dakota was considered part of the Wild West.

The state was named after the Dakota tribe of Native Americans.
North Dakota became the 39th state in 1889.
