Owner Comments:

I acquired this coin on 1/19/2007. Population 1 of 568 as of 1/2007.

On the reverse there are 3 things:

Wren - the state bird. The wrens are birds in the family Troglodytidae. Troglodyte means "cave-dweller," and the wrens get their scientific name from the tendency of some species to forage in dark crevices. They are mainly small and inconspicuous except for their loud songs.

The Yellow Jessamine, also known as Evening Trumpetflower or Carolina Jessamine - the state flower,

and the Palmetto Tree also known as Cabbage Palm,- the state tree.
