Owner Comments:

a lustrous coin with even light gold toning on both sides. The strike is slightly above average for a type 2 coin, however as with all 1855 trimes, the strike has a flat look. This is a 1855 over 55 overdate. The center of the reverse is well struck but the stars are all flat. There are deep die polish lines that travel over the stars at the 1 o'clock position as well as others on the reverse.
