The Obverse of the coin features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. People born in the years 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989 and 2001 are born in the Year of the Snake. The coin is struck from 1 oz of 99.9% pure silver and was issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965.
