Owner Comments:

Although not designated as such on the holder, this coin is the FS-301 or Breen 6035 double punched date variety. Purchased from the ANR Lake Michigan/Springdale Sale, Lot 2419. The date numerals were double punched with the base of the 1 and the top of the 5 being the most obvious. This variety is extremely rare, with only 2 examples at PCGS (an AU-50 and an AU-58) out of 3,464 coins graded. NGC has only reported a single AU-50 example out of 5,587 coins graded. This coin appears to be the second finest of the 4 examples graded.
