This scarce St.Gaudens double eagle is MS-63 graded by pcgs.
Obverse:This coin is impressive. Surface is almost perfect with the presence of just a couple of heavy marks on the primary focal area (one on the left legs of miss liberty are evident from the pic too). These marks probably prevented the ms-64 or more designation. The strike is excellent with full details of dress, face, hands and rays. Field is extremely clear and satin where a great luster round perfectly.
Reverse:The surface of reverse is perfect. No marks are noticiable, just same minimal are present and you can see them by magnification in particolar on rays. Eagle is full stroke and the all the details are excellent. Field is clear with just same very light hair lines. Luster is great, better then obverse.
My opinion:
Surface preservation:5/5
Details/Strike:4/5
Luster:4/5
Eye Appeal:4/5
