This quite common St.Gaudens double eagle is MS-62 graded by pcgs.
Obverse:This coin present a nice particolarity: all the field of the obverse has a nice orange colour while miss liberty present long all the figure a white colouration making a nice eye appeal. The strike is full and nice detailed of dress and face are present. Rays are well struck like the hair of miss Liberty. Several light bag marks are present on the legs and breast of miss liberty same of them quite heavy and a bit distracting. Luster is excellent in particolar for the 2 different colouration of this obverse not borken by any flatness at all.
Reverse:The strike of the reverse is excellent. All the eagle is well defined with just same very light contact marks. Field is clear and satin, just same light hair lines are present. Rays under the eagle are well struck with the presence of same light marks. More marks are evident under the motto. Luster of the obverse is spectacular and better the obverse, round excellent along all the design.
My opinion:
Surface preservation:3/5
Details/Strike:3/5
Luster:3/5
Eye Appeal:4/5
