Owner Comments:
This 1887-P exhibits good obverse doubling in front of Miss Liberty's eye thus giving the name "Alligator Eye". The word "Liberty" in the head-band is also doubled, as are the tops of the letters in "Pluribus" The stars on both sides of the date are doubled at bottom. This prooflike Morgan shows good reflection in the fields with nice frosted devices and is very close to DPL status. Purchased from Teletrade Auctions 6/4/06
