2000, The Year of the Dragon. The coin's reverse depicts a dragon and the Chinese character for 'dragon'. The reverse design also features a border of five bats among the clouds symbolising health, peace and prosperity. The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This one once 99.9% pure silver coin is issued as a $1 legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965. Here is a perfect example graded NGC MS70.
