Owner Comments:

Nice prooflike sufaces with just a slight hint of contrast on the devices. A full strike and good luster is typical for the 1899-S. A few die varities exist but the only significant one is Vam 7 with a strongly doubled 1-99 and that one is in the Top 100. This is the Vam 9 Normal die type with closed 9's with the reverse showing the S mint mark centered and tilted right.
