This is a beautiful coin, near gem condition - under-graded - I think it is a solid MS64. The coin's surface boldly exhibits its original deeply frosty mint luster with no toning. It is sharply struck with a superb eye appeal. I think that this is one of the most difficult coins to find from the GSA Hoard.
This is one of my favorite Morgan dollars in my set. The circulation mintage was over 1,6 Million coins. However, there were only 5,687 pieces paid out in the GSA (General Services Administration) sales.
I acquired this coin on 2/14/2006.
Population 1 of 29 with 0 graded higher by NGC as of 4/2008. There were total of 146 coin graded by NGC so far.
