These cents are actually composed of low-carbon steel with a thin Zinc coating. While circulated examples are usually dull or corroded and unattractive, a sharply struck MS67 is a beautiful example from this era. This example is extremely well struck and shows no signs of corrosion or oxidation which plagues this issue.
