1921 VAM-1A Pitted Reverse. This reverse has estensive pitting and die polish. The reverse die was damaged, probably from rust that left many fine depressions. Additionally, many small lines can be seen over much of the lower reverse. The VAM-1A is only one of several pitted die reverses from 1921.
