2000 Silver 10 Yuan Panda MIRRORED RING MS70
This silver panda is the holy grail of the entire silver BU 1oz panda serie.
It is a MS70 of the rarest and most sought after 2000 mirrored panda. Only about 0.256% or 1 out 390 of all NGC graded 2000 mirrored pandas received this top grade.

The 2000 silver panda coins were only struck in two weights (1oz and Proof 1 kilogram). 1999 was the last year that a 1oz proof quality silver Panda coin was issued. The BU coin had 2 varieties – a frosted ring and a mirrored ring around the perimeter of the coin on the Temple of Heaven side. This was the first year that a frosted ring panda coin was made and probably why there were 2 versions. All of the coins minted after 2000 were generally struck with the frosted style ring.
Mintage of BU coins is unknown; however, the mirrored ring is valued much higher than the high valued frosted ring and is according to census dates and market offers about 7times scarcer than the frosted version.
The coin has a (natural and removable) toning spot on the rim at 12'o clock and has costed me a little fortune. But it was a once in a lifetime chance and I am lucky to have the possibility to be the owner of such a great rarity for some time.
