In 2020 US Mint sold extra coins for 2016 to 2018 via blind-bid auction to several large coin dealers. Only 2nd time in the 35 year history of US Mint they have done this. Dealer sent the 2017 Silver Eagle to PCGS for grading where PCGS is printing 2017 and the implied (2020) date on the label. PCGS called these 2017-W coins "West Point Hoard". Historically, coins label "Hoard" demonstrate price gains above the original year of issue.
