Owner Comments:

The new Key Date American Silver Eagle!

The US Mint released the new key date 2019 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Enhanced Reverse Proof Coin on November 14th, 2019. The release day price was $65.95. Silver was priced at $17.00. Mintage was limited to 30,000 coins. The US Mint December 10th, 2023 sales update list total sales as 29,913 coins sold.

What drove the sales frenzy on this coin in addition to the low mintage was the first Silver Eagle to come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Also the first 100 certificates would be hand signed by David J Ryder, 34th and 39th Director of The US Mint. If requested on the submission form, the COA # would be printed on the NGC label for early submissions and the numbered certificate would be holdered for protection for those who sent their coins in the unopened mint shipping box.

The number on each Certificate of Authenticity does not reflect the order in which each coin was minted.

The 2019 S Enhanced Reverse Proof with sales only reaching 29,913 coins sold is now the new Key Date for Silver American Eagles. The 1995 W Proof, total sales 30,125, now becomes the 1st Semi-Key Date for the Silver American Eagle.

This is the best investment I have ever seen in a collectible coin. Collectors who were lucky enough to purchase one of these Eagles for 65.95 from the US Mint, and smart enough send the coin to NGC in the original mint packaging for grading. Received a FDOI, First or Early release RP 70 grade. Followed NGC submission guidelines and ask for the COA number too be put on the label and have the COA holdered, now have a coin that has increased in value by approximately 4,300% as of this December 10th, 2023 update.
