I searched a long time to find a decent Hawaiian; one that was an honest undipped gem. Very few marks for the grade unlike a lot of overgraded 65's out there, and good original color with russet, violet, and bits of multicolored toning in the palm tree. I passed on a few mostly white pieces with bright, pretty colors on the rims because their technical qualities were inferior to this coin. I tend not to buy coins that have been bumped up a grade or two only because of the toning. Either the coin has strong technical merits for the grade, or it finds a home in someone else's collection.
