Owner Comments:

An extremely rare coin in this grade, the mintage is unknown but obviously small as few are known. This one has lovely original toning on the obverse, with a lighter rose colors on the reverse. Mintage was approximately 16,000 according to Dr. Breen, few of which remain in any decent grade. How this coin survived is a mystery, but here it is in all its glory. Nearly full luster in the fields, and identifiable by a tick mark below the eagles beak.
