2017 Silver Kookaburra 1oz proof PF70 Ultra Cameo

The Proof Kookaburra is the highlight of a two-coin-set as this is the first time the Perth Mint has struck a 1 oz Proof Kookaburra with a matching design to the current BU coin. Previous Proof versions have been issued as specialty releases for select coin shows only or till 2004 with the design for the following BU year. The Proof Kookaburra can only be found in the sets and had mintage of just 1,000 coins.

Issue price of the set in 2017 was more than 160 Euros when bought directly from the Perth Mint. 100 coins or ten percent of the mintage had to be available in Australia. The rest of 900 coins was sold exclusively by APMEX.
