VERY RARE & ALMOST FLAWLESS!

This amazing 1953 Proof 68* is one of the rarest Franklins in the Boyhood Dream Collection. Condition-wise, it’s one of the finest specimens from that year you'll ever see. Most of the Franklins from the early years of the Post-War Proof series have been damaged in some way. NGC has graded a scant 22 Franklin Half Dollars from 1953 Proof 68*. Just 24 examples are graded higher. NGC reserves the 'Star' designation for coins that have superior eye appeal for their grade. PCGS does not use a * designation in their grading.
