This date represents the most common PL/DPL San Francisco issue of the 1900s.

This coin has a nice strike, decent contrast, and few marks for the grade. There is some evidence of planchet striations that often appear on Morgan Dollars of the 1900s from all mints. However, they are not as pronounced as the ones that appear on the Hallmark 63 coin it replaced. Some have attributed these striations to new mint processes to anneal and roll the silver into sheets for planchet cutting.
