1889-O $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. Population: 28 in 64 (1 in 64+) Deep Mirror Prooflike, 2 finer (1/20). The 1889-O is a challenging issue for Morgan dollar Prooflike and Deep Mirror Prooflike collectors. Cameo contrasted examples of this issue are especially scarce in Choice condition and conditionally rare at the Gem level. This near-Gem displays brilliant cameo contrast and is thoroughly frosted on the devices. The grazes on Liberty's cheek limit the grade but the strike is above average. Liberty's hair on the obverse and the Eagle's breast feathers on the Reverse appear bolder than the typical 1889-O. (Registry values: P6, N1793) (NGC ID# 45YN, PCGS# 97193)
