Owner Comments:
1889 VAM-22 Barwing. The Barwing VAMs have a die break on the eagle's wing (left as you look at it). Two VAMs are known, VAM-22 with the date set more to the right, known as the far date. Observe the spacing of the one over the denticles in the photo. VAM-19A replaced VAM-5A and is the near date variety. The far date was discovered after publication of the Top 100 VAM book so the famous reference only lists VAM-5A.
