Owner Comments:

This issue comes moderately abraded and finding one with smooth surfaces can be challenging. Many are dull and lackluster. Toning can be mottled and unattractive, although there are brilliant coins out there, as well.

Important Varieties:

V 101 filled D.

This current example is pure white. Frankly, this is the nicest MS63 that I've ever seen for this issue. I've seen MS 65s that don't look this good. Well struck throughout with full separation of thumb and hand but typical weakness of skirtlines. The reverse is bold with full eagle's breast and trailing leg feathers.

Low mintage of 765,400.
