1897 Dollar, PCGS MS66+ Prooflike, cameo contrast, PCGS population: 3 in 66+ Prooflike, 0 finer. CAC endorsed. Scarce in Gem or finer condition. This plus-graded premium gem prooflike coin is tied for the finest at PCGS. The strike is bold and the frosty texture of the relief elements contrast nicely with the reflective fields. Both sides are nearly unabraded and brilliant save for a ring of amber-gold toning around the peripheries. (11/16). (Registry values: P3, N2998) (NGC ID# 2565, PCGS# 7247)
