Seller comments: 1888 $1 MS66 Prooflike PCGS. CAC. Ex: JCS Collection. Although plentiful through MS66 in the non-Prooflike category, the 1888 Morgan dollar is seldom seen finer than MS64 with Prooflike fields. Population: 14 in 66 (2 in 66+) Prooflike, 0 finer; 11 in 66 (1 in 66+) Deep Mirror Prooflike, 1 finer. CAC: 5 in 66, 0 finer (7/19). This Premium Gem Prooflike coin is conditionally rare. The CAC sticker -- is one of just five awarded to Prooflike coins in this grade. The fields glimmer with glasslike reflectivity, and yet they possess a vibrant underlying cartwheel effect. Neither side is toned. Central strike sharpness is above average and eye appeal abounds.
