Owner Comments:

In 2013, the only $5 commemorative coin issued served to honor America's Five Star Generals. The obverse of the coin features the bust of General Douglas MacArthur. The reverse features an image of the Fort Leavenworth Lamp -- the symbol of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

A mere 5,667 uncirculated coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. MS70 coins outnumber MS69 graded coins by almost a 7:1 margin. The San Francisco Mint produced 15,834 proof coins and the PF70 graded example outnumber PF69 coins by a 4:1 margin. These coins were well struck, but their graded quantities are low. NGC population reports about 500, each, of MS70 and PF70 graded coins.
