Owner Comments:
The Liberty gold coins were first minted in 1838. The quarter eagle, half eagle, and eagle all used a design similar to the Coronet cent, while the double eagle used a slightly modified design. These gold coins were minted until 1907/1908. The half eagle has two varieties, Type 1 has no motto, and Type 2 uses the motto "In God We Trust". Only the Type 2 was used in the 20th century.
This pretty example has amazing color and super cartwheels worthy of the grade.
