Owner Comments:

At the top of the NGC certification roster, this is one of only two coins that have been noted. Fully brilliant on both sides. Frosty devices against mirror surfaces. Untoned, silver-white features are well frosted over the devices and deeply mirrored in the fields. The surfaces are silent on the subject of distracting abrasions--a feature that confirms the validity of the PR67 designation. Virtually all major features are sharply struck. Produced at the end of the Seated Half Dollar series, the 1889 has a limited original mintage of 12,000 business strikes and 711 proofs.
