VAM-4 "Thick Dash"

The finest certified is an MS67 at NGC. Two MS66 ones are in PCGS holders, this one and another (with an obverse rainbow crescent) that sold by Heritage in their January 2005 FUN signature sale as lot 11327. NGC also has an MS66 in a GSA holder. That is the top of the condition census for this variety which is characterized by a thick dash under the second 8 in the date, the thickest observed for the Morgan series.
