Beginning in 1999 at the close of the 20th century the ever-popular Statehood quarter program was initiated still utilizing the basic Washington Quarter obverse. 4 Quarters where minted each year to represent every State in the Union as well as the District of Columbia and the Territories. This example is a pristine MS68 Business Strike, while these coins are very easy to locate in Gem MS grades, they become quite rare in this grade.
