A BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN

In 1957 the U.S. Mint sold over 1 million Proof Sets (1,247,952) for the first time. But only 1473 Washington Quarters from that year are graded Proof 69. From this point forward in the Post-War Proof series, few Quarters can truly be considered rare. This is one of the finest examples of a Brilliant Proof Quarter from 1957 that exists. 139 specimens have ever been graded higher than this coin.
